About Jason

Jason Ott started singing at the age of 16. He studied with many vocal coaches but wasn’t learning enough so he went to Berklee School of Music for voice.

He went in for Opera Lessons but ended up down the hall with the amazing vocal coach Charley Sorrento. Charley broke down Jason’s voice and built him back up again. It was quite a long, difficult process but very helpful.

There were many bands throughout the years. The first couple wrote some original music with cover songs. (Talon, Witch Hazel, Riot House, etc)

Eventually, Jason steered his music career towards cover and tribute music. He started the Led Zeppelin tribute band Dazed and Confused in 2006 which went on to win a San Diego Music Award in 2009.

We held an annual “Holidazed and Confused” show. It was a 5 hour Led Zeppelin extravaganza that featured an opening acoustic set with string section, a popular set and a heavy set.

Jason also played an All Request Acoustic Show from 2005-2013 in and around San Diego, CA. This was a weekly show where he took requests and played specific songs for people. After 8 years, the song list included over 1,400 songs. They called him the “Human Jukebox”.

In 2013 began the journey of writing the album Electricity. Read more about that here.

NOTE: There is another Jason Ott musician out there who has also published some music. You can verify it’s me by the album name “Electricity” or the San Diego location.
